Ubuntu
Seven tracks across the full African continent — Amapiano from Johannesburg, Afrobeats from Lagos, Afro Soul from Cape Town. One album, one Africa, one global statement.
The concept
UBUNTU is the most globally ambitious record in the Hustle Beats catalogue. Seven instrumental tracks that move through the three defining sounds of contemporary African music — Amapiano's hypnotic log drum and piano keys from Johannesburg, Afrobeats' rhythmic swagger and talking drum energy from Lagos, and Afro Soul's warm organic depth from Cape Town.
Vocal chops and ad-libs appear throughout as texture — not lyrics, but the sound of the human voice as a percussion instrument , woven into the groove. No featured artist. No full vocals. Just the continent speaking through the music.
