Grease
Seven tracks across the full spectrum of funk and soul — wah guitar, brass horns, vocal chops, Hammond organ, and the most joyful record in the Hustle Beats catalogue
The concept
GREASE is the most joyful record in the Hustle Beats catalogue. Not happy in a thin, manufactured way — joyful in the way that only deep music can be joyful. The joy of a groove that locks in and won't let go. The joy of a horn section that answers a guitar line like it was always going to. The joy of a soul ballad that makes you feel something before you even know what it is.
Seven tracks across the full funk and soul spectrum — classic 70s funk energy, deep soul warmth, and live-instrument groove. Two tracks use horn features and vocal chops to add colour. The rest is pure instrumental funk and soul, no compromise.
